CHIEF OFFICER, American Cargo Transport Inc..; Seattle, Washington September 2006 to Present



Successfully managed operations for a variety of cargos aboard Integrated Tug and Barge (ITB) world wide, such as containers, rolling stock, perishables, heavy equipment, military cargo, explosive cargo and construction materials.

Respected liaison with those essential to transport cargo including Stevedore Companies, freight reps, military and port officials.

Meticulously attending to all current IMO and USCG safety regulations to ensure compliance.

Guaranteeing compliance with all international, national and company regulations as Vessel Security Officer through overseeing all security exercises and drills as well as regularly interfacing with shore security.

Vessel Safety Officer conducting training, equipment maintenance and regular auditing of safety programs.



GENERAL MANAGER, Commodore Marine Services; Seattle, Washington May 2005 to January 2006



Skillfully managed all aspects of opening new boatyard on Lake Washington Ship Canal until its sale in early 2006.

Purchased major equipment and planned/supervised land and building upgrades, creating a fully operational boatyard.

Directed all human resource activities.

Accurately tracked billing and receipt of all transactions by creating/managing a customer and vendor database.

Complied with all governmental and environmental regulations by diligently overseeing all operations.

Maintained, operated and trained employees to safely operate 70 ton Marine Travelift and other boatyard equipment.

CAPTAIN, Pacific Island Resources; Honolulu, Hawaii

July 2001 to June 2006



Rotating captain of 4 squid and tuna fishing/processing vessels with crew of 15 in N. Pacific and New Zealand waters.

Solely responsible for locating squid and overseeing squid production to produce a high quality product.

Fastidiously maintained quality control logs and monitored all quality control issues.

Increased production numbers by 20% while raising overall quality by directing changes in plant processing procedures.

Coordinated routine and non-routine maintenance of vessels while at dock, including, reviewing bids and ordering parts.



CAPTAIN, Yardarm Knot Fisheries, LLC; Seattle, Washington May 1989 to August 2000



Recruited new vessels and supervised 200+ personnel across multiple fisheries in Alaskan waters and 5 river systems.

Provided comprehensive fleet support and communication with shore support for up to 12 tender and 80 fishing vessels.

Coordinated logistical support such as delivery/offloading schedules for fleets serving various fish and crab fisheries.

Diligently attended to navigational safety, communications management, governmental reporting, accurate record keeping and personnel safety as captain and EMT trained chief medical officer on a 338-foot fish processing vessel.

Designed/constructed salmon pumping system and assisted to design/construct production lines and offload systems.

Oversaw pumping of product to vessel from both tenders and fishing vessels.
