Objective
Having sailed out at sea since March 1976 I have decided to quit the seafaring job and work as a cargo surveyor for bulk carriers or general cargo ships if given the chance. I prefer to work and live abroad with my family anywhere in the US or Canada.
Experience
I was a Chief Officer onboard general cargo, bulk carrier and containership for almost 9 years.
As a ship's captain I have been in command of containership, general cargo, logship and bulk carrier vessels since 1996 to the present time.
My previous principal employers as master are Westfal-Larsen of Norway, J Lauritzen of Denmark and Maersk Ship Management Rotterdam. Said principals have their own local agency in the Philippines thus I did have the opportunity to work with these giant companies and gained a lot of experience. Having worked with these companies as Captain the past 12 years, I can say that I have enough experience to land a job as cargo surveyor.
Education
My highest educational attainment is Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation. I graduated at PMI Colleges of Manila, Philippines in October 1976 and undergo Shipboard training for 2 years before taking my 3/Mate's ticket.
