BP Shipping provides safe and environmentally responsible transportation of BP's hydrocarbons around the world. Responsibilities:
? Overall in-charge of the operations of the vessel that includes ensuring the safety of the vessel and cargo
? Ensuring techno-commercial performance of vessels
? Conducting analysis of ship performance; ensuring accomplishment of all requirements of Charter Party Agreements
? Strict adherence to Flagstate and Class requirements
? Liasoning with port, terminal and statutory authorities for quick turn-around of the vessel
? Conducting regular safety audits and risk assessment
? Promoting use of Permit to Work systems and conducting various Tool Box Meetings and Safety Meetings
? Directing Facilities Management & Upkeep functions inclusive of messing functions for the staff and preparation of food in a clean and health environment
? Governing provision of hygienic and safe working conditions on the ship for all personnel.
II. ANGLO-EASTERN GROUP LTD. AUG ‘02 - MAY ‘06
(Chief Officer)
The Anglo-Eastern Group has been established in the mid 80s with a primary focus on the provision of Ship Management, Crew Management and New Building Consultancy services to third parties worldwide. Currently the Anglo-Eastern Group looks after a varied fleet, crew based training and operating on a worldwide basis. The Anglo-Eastern Group operates through a network of offices across the world.
Responsibilities:
As Chief Officer (August ’02 – May ’06):
? Managing complete Cargo Operations and Cargo Care
? Efficiently carried out Grade change operations several times and ensured “Zero Cargo Loss” always
? As Master’s Deputy and Second in Command, Stand-in for the Ship’s Master when required
? Organizing and managing the day to day operations of the vessel
? Sailed on VLGCs throughout as Chief Officer, successfully handled delivery of Very Large Gas Carriers from the shipyard and brought them to complete operational status
? Cleared numerous vetting inspection and prepared vessels for USCG inspections thereby making the vessels viable chartering options
? Considered exceptional in up-gradation of vessels by optimal utilization of stores & man management, which in turn improved the value of the vessel
As Second Officer (April ’97 – August ’02):
? Shared responsibility for Safe Navigation and Cargo Operations. Understudied superiors
? Sailed on various types of LPG Tankers. Helped Senior Staff extensively for safe operation of the vessel.
As Third Officer (June ’96 – April ’97):
? Shared responsibility for thorough maintenance of Safety Equipment, Navigation and Cargo Operations. Understudied superiors

III. Century Shipping Apr ’91 – June ‘96
Century Shipping is owned by Aditya Birla Group and the vessels belonging to Century Shipping were engaged in carrying various Bulk cargos and also four tankers were chartered under IOC. The vessels were carrying oil cargos within the Indian Coasts.
Accomplishments:
? Apprenticed as Deck Cadet on bulk carriers and was later promoted to a full-fledged officer (2nd Mate - Foreign Going) on a Product Carrier which had carried various kinds of grades of oil such as superior Kerosene Oil, High Speed Diesel and Aviation fuel, Naphtha and Gasoline.

Vessels Served and significant contributions
• Lpg/C British Commerce: Built in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nagasaki, Japan. Joined in the rank of Master and contributed to the vessel during Pre/Post Dry docking safely at Singapore Sembawang Ship Repair Yard in the month of June’2009.
• Lpg/C Berge Ningbo: Taken Over the vessel in the rank of Chief Officer, after serving for 2.5 months, was elevated to the rank of Master on the same vessel based on the performance.
• Lpg/C Berge Nantong: (New Take Over from Shipyard) Built in Hyundai Heavy Industries ship Yard, Ulsan, South Korea. Joined in the rank of Master after maiden voyage and contributed for the best results in setting up and effective implementation of the Company’s Policies and Procedures to prepare the Vessel for Internal/ External ISM & ISPS Audits and various Oil Major Inspections within short span of time and meeting the deadlines for smooth running of the vessel.
• Lpg/C Oriental Queen: The first vessel in the fleet awarded with the ISO 14001 & ISO 18001 Certification. The vessel was awarded the Best Vessel of the Year 2007 in the LPG fleet. Played a key role in developing, presenting as well as spearheading the vessel in those ISO Audits.
• Lpg/C Galileo: A storage Gas Tanker assigned for supplying LPG to whole Mauritius. It’s trading pattern involves in taking the daughter vessels alongside and conduct lightering operations for the purpose of supplying LPG to whole Mauritius and neighboring East African Ports. During the entire tenure onboard, I have taken up multiple tasks such as onboard mixing of LPG cargoes, discharging appropriately to the daughter vessels, preparing the Bills of Lading onboard as per instructions received from Commercial Operators. Commendable record of safe STS Operations were carried out during entire tenure onboard, for which received Appreciation letter from the Owners.
• Lpg/C Gas Diana: Built in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nagasaki, Japan. Joined in the rank of Chief Officer and contributed for preparing the vessel for Pre/Post Dry docking safely at Singapore Keppel Benoi Ship Repair Yard in the month of March’2003. This was the first vessel in the Fleet, had completed the ISPS Certification successfully in the year 2004 with NIL findings. Had taken up the responsibility of Ship Security Officer for implementing procedures and trained all staff onboard vessel following the guidelines as per the Ship Security Plan. Proactively adopted various practices to plan well and motivate the staff to achieve the best results.
• Lpg/C Oriental Queen: (New Take Over from Shipyard), built in Universal ship Building Yard, TSU, Japan. Joined in the rank of Chief Officer. Worked towards setting up the cargo system to bring the vessel in complete operational status and implemented Company’s Policies and Procedures effectively. Played a key role in developing, presenting as well as spearheading the vessel in numerous crucial inspections and audits. Joined the team for taking over the Vessel from Universal ship building yard. Extensively involved with Vessel under construction at shipyard for structural inputs.
• Lpg/C Berge Ningbo: (New Take Over from Shipyard) Built in Hyundai Heavy Industries ship Yard, Ulsan, South Korea. Joined in the rank of Chief Officer and worked very hard for achieving the best results in setting up the cargo system to bring the vessel in complete operational status and implemented Company’s Policies and Procedures effectively. Played a key role in developing, presenting as well as spearheading the vessel in numerous crucial inspections and audits. Joined the team for taking over the Vessel from HHI shipyard. Extensively involved with Vessel under construction at shipyard for structural inputs.
• Lpg/C Lady Martine: (New Take Over from Shipyard) Built in Tokoyama Ship Yard, Tokoyama, Japan. Attended in the rank of Second Officer and assisted in setting up the Navigation system on 21.07.1998.
• Lpg/C Gas Diana: (New Take Over from Shipyard) Built in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nagasaki, Japan. Joined the vessel in the rank of Second Officer and assisted in setting up the Navigation system on 05.06.2000.
• Lpg/C Lavender Passage: (New Take Over from Shipyard) Built in Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Nagasaki, Japan. Joined the vessel in the rank of Third Officer, after maiden voyage in Nov’96.
Education
? Class – I Certificate of Competency as Master of a Foreign Going Ship Obtained under the provision of the Merchant Shipping Act (1958), STCW Convention 1978, amended in 1995 from the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India
