Objective
Conduct Marine vessel inspections per United States Coast Guard and IMO Rules and regulations, to ensure that the vessels comply with all relevant rules and codes and Master/Owners operate their vessels consistent with IMO SOLAS and MARPOL regulations and best marine practices.

Bechtel Corporation - April 1997-June 2000; March 2001-March 2003; May-July 2004; Sept.2004 to Dec.2005; March 2006-Oct.2008: Various - Marine Specialist/Advisor, Marine Superintendent/Manager, Environment, Safety & Health Supervisor/Manager, Construction Coordinator, Jetty Operations Manager, Port Security Officer. Initiated the Marine department on the Caspian Sea job, inspected vessels for purchase/hire by Company, supervised repairs/retrofit during shipyard lay-up and re-commissioning for operation in the Caspian Sea. Set-up Port Statet Control inspections on more than 200 vessels operating in the Cantarell Field of Pemex. Conducted pre-hire and periodical inspections to ensure that vessel complied with local, USCG and International regulations.
1984-1995: Captain in Command on oil tankers -crude,petroleum products, chemicals of Mobil Oil Corporation. Excelled in safe and efficient operation of the vessels consistent with Company policies and IMO regulations. In the EG project, besides ES&H responsibilities during construction of LNG terminal, held the position of Jetty Operations Manager (construction jetty where more than 80% of Project cargo was offloaded) and Port Security Officer to ensure safe and efficient operations of the port, consistent with security of personnel, the vessels and port installations

1965: Passed Pre-Senior Cambridge Examination from St. Joseph's Collegiate, Allahabad, U.P., India
1965-1967: Two years training aboard Indian Mercantile Marine Training Ship, moored in Bombay harbour, India
Certification
1974: Obtained Merchant Marine Master - Foreign Going Certificate of Competency from Mercantile Marine Department,Ministry of Transport, Govt. of India, Mumbai.
Obtained certification for various courses attended since 1972, latest one being HUET - Helicopter under water egress training completed in 2008 in Mumbai

Have acquired good proficincy in conducting marine vessel inspections on all types of vessels to ensure their compliance with USCG, IMO and Marpol Rules & Regulations. Have attended courses and seminars in Root cause analysis, quality assurance consistent with ES&H standards. Have worked aboard Merchant vessels owned/operated by Indian, American, Norwegian & Swiss Companies in all oceans and several countries of all the continents of the world. Have worked on different construction projects ranging from Kazakhstan, Mexico, Trinidad, Equatorial Guinea, USA and India. Have good knowledge and understanding of USCG Rules and regulations
