overall responsibility for the effective crewing of the Vessels under full and crew management contracts. The specific responsibilities include:



• Providing commitment to Vships Management System (VMS) compliance;

• Ensuring in-house training Matrix compliance

• Ensuring that client communications regarding crewing is effective;

• Ensuring budget and control management

• Collating and preparing crew forecast data;

• Working closely with Vessel Control Groups to ensure crew performance is managed effectively;

• Ensuring that the performance management of seafarers is effective;

• Ensuring crew welfare is effective;

• Appointing manning offices within the scope of the VMS and working closely with them on the delegation of crewing functions;

• Creating a strong professional relationship with manning offices;

• Supervising the activities of the crew department and the allocation of vessels to the Crew Coordinators;

• Ensuring preparation of vessel’s workable 6-month crew rotation plans in order to optimize seafarers’ employment continuity

• Ensuring that ShipSure crew data is entered accurately and in a timely manner;

• Creation of crewing budgets and the reporting of variances;

• Effective implementation of crewing initiatives;

• The appointment of local port agents;

• The approval to CTM requests;

• The preparation and follow-up of P&I medical claims;

• The effective review of all seafarer disciplinary cases.

• Inspection of Vessel condition in entering/leaving management and off/on hire.
