Objective
Looking for a director function, preferable with ship owner or trading company with clear ship owning ties. I have experience in dry bulk, oil and gas (incl LNG), reefer and container shipping.

Manager, Chartering, Operations and Procurement
Responsible for the commercial (chartering, S&P, new building, etc.) and operational (bunkering, quality, vetting, freight, P/L, claims, insurance etc.) management for the total charter fleet, 28 to 35 ships. Responsible for the procurement division for the owned fleet, (12 ships). Involvement at corporate management level with the sale and lease back operation of 12 ships. • Norsk Hydro A/S – Yara International A/S (Jan ‘04 - Dec ’05)
Director Maritime Management, responsible for the general management, i.e. P / L, commercial, chartering, technical, S & P, new building, operations, HESQ and vetting of a fleet of 16 up to 20 gas carriers for the oil major Norsk Hydro’s fertiliser and chemical division. This division was later de-merged and renamed Yara International
Board member and vice chairman in three J/V ship-owning companies.

Operations Manager for the gas (LPG,LNG, NH3, Petchem) fleet. . Responsible for managing a team of 6 and for the commercial operations, including HESQ, of 41 gas tankers. Reporting to the General Manager.

Operator, responsible for the day-to-day commercial operations of a part of the Exmar – Bocimar fleet (dry bulk, handy size, chemical/product tankers and oil tankers (Suez max and VLCC)).
