Skils
• Planing and preparing procedure for anchor-handling and rig move. Anchoring the rig in close proximity of pipelines and umbilical.
• Have experience working as barge master on accommodation barge (flotel).
• Ensure that in all marine aspects the rig’s operations are carried out in accordance with statutory, flag and local regulations and guidelines. Plan future tasks and solve critical problems related to marine issues
• Performing positioning the rig on location (Racal DGPS system) and anchoring the rig (planning operations, risk assessment and anchor pattern).
• Maintain documents and certificates that all times comply with the Statutory classification certificates, MODU, SOLAS, flag, and local requirements and liase with Classification Society.
• Attend Flag and Classification Society inspection and survey. Coordinate with Rig O.I.M on the clearance of all deficiencies and outstanding class and statutory requirements issued
• Ensure that rig is seaworthy all the time.
• Supervising marine department operations and activity to ensure the rig safe and efficient running.
• Ensure that all safety equipment including lifeboats, life rafts and fire-fighting equipment are maintained in a state of operational readiness all the times and cheked, serviced as required.
• Ensure that company’s HSE policies are communicated and understood by rig personnel.
• Playing active role in quality improvement HSE program and Company management system.
• Conduct safety meetings and provide support and advice for proper Marine Structure & Training (HSE) of all rig personnel as per Flag State, SOLAS and Company Regulation
• Ensure emergency preparedness, updating muster list, safety plans (firefighting, lifesaving, etc …)
• Create and update the Marine Operation Manuals, and drawings.
• Issue, update and implement marine procedures.
• Preparing Risk Analyses for marine operation
• Assist Rig Manager in the preparation marine budget.
• Coordinate with Rig Managers and provide guidance and support with planning for mobilization, towing and planing route (voyage). Close liase with tow Master during the tow and rig move.
• Supervising repair, anticorrosive maintenance of the rig and proper maintenance of anchoring and lifting gear. Provide support to the Maintenance team for all marine related equipment and actively participate in the continuous improvement of the Maintenance tasks related to Marine Equipment
• Monitor weather conditions and rig motions – advise OIM on condition that can affect drilling and/or other rig operations. Evaluates weather condition prior to rig move in consultation with weather forecasters and continually updates forecast throughout rig move.
• Coordinate communications with workboats (supply-boats) and shore base. Planning supply of the ship/rig and supply boats shifts.
• Supervising Chief Mate, Control Room Operators, HSE Engineer and their operations as ballasting, deballasting the rig, stability and stress calculations, loading, back load, stowing and securing cargo and equipment, control and check all aspects involved in safety.

• The course is conducted in accordance to the requirements of sec.6.3 of IMO Res:A891(21).
• This course has been specifically designed to privide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to take role as O.I.M., Barge Supervisor or Control Room Operator.
• Courses are approved by Liberian International & Coorporate Registry, (LSCR) and The Republic of Panama – Panama Marine Survey & Certification Services Inc.
