To pursue a challenging position as Master Mariner in maritime transportation where I can apply my knowledge, skills and experience.
Experience
I have been a Master Mariner for more than 25 years and my last employment was almost 3 years ago.
My tasks are as follow:
• Responsible for the ship’s safe and efficient operation, ensuring vessels compliance with local and international rules, company and flagship companies.
• Responsible for all of the inventories, payrolls and accounting on the ship. Ensuring an adequate amount of cash on board.
• Sending messages to charterer and company principals.
• Responds to and reports accidents, incidents, injuries and illness among officers and crew.
• Coordinates crew members or workers performing activities such as loading or unloading cargo, steering vessels, operating engines, or operating, maintaining, or repairing ship equipment.
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
• Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
• Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
• Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics.
• Scheduling events, programs, and activities on the ship.
• Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork.
• Ensuring safe handling of cargo.
• Maintaining the ship’s certificates and documentations.
