Experience
• Have working experience on VLCC, Aframax tankers, Gear Bulk Carrier, Bulk Aluminum Product Carrier, Product Tankers, Chemical Tankers, Bitumen Tanker, Pitch Tanker.
• 13 years of experience at sea of which 3.5 years as Master.
• Sailing on Crude/ Product/Chemical Tankers for last 3.5 years as Master.
• Have 2 years working experience on lightering trade in US Gulf.
• 2 Dry dockings of a V.L.C.C. & of a product carrier. Inclusive of all the preparations from v/l’s side.
• For the first time having command on VLCC, successfully completed the Class, Name & Flag changes of the vessel.
• Restarting and putting the Laid-up Bitumen Tanker back into trading mode.
• Successfully handed over a tanker management to a different owner.
• Presently working in the field of Marine surveying and consultancy.
Education
• Class 1, Class 2 & Class 3 Certificate of Competency from Singapore.
• Bachelor of Maritime Science (Extra First Class) from Bangladesh Marine Academy (A Branch of the World Maritime University, Sweden; Web site URL: www.macademy.gov.bd).
• Pre-sea training from Bangladesh Marine Academy (2 years).
• Higher Secondary Certificate (Starmark) from Government Hazi Md Mohsin College.
• Secondary School Certificate (First Division) from Municipal Model High School.
• Fluent in languages English, Hindi and Bengali, computer Literate.
Certification
Class - 1 Master Mariner from Singapore.
Skils
• Formulating, laying-down and managing procedures and system.
• Deep understanding of ISM, SIER VIQ, TMSA, ISO 14000.
• Ensuring the vessel performs well within the Charter party terms and condition while maintaining highest standards of safety and maintenance.
• Assigning tasks to teams, motivating and controlling them, as to achieve time-bound goals.
• Well-versed with rules and regulations of IMO, USCG, PSC, P &I, Class, etc.
• To take care of planned maintenance systems.
• To carry out internal audits, VIQ self-assessment.
• To carry out proper training for ship staff.
• To encourage and ensure that safety becomes an integral part of everyone’s daily life.
