Experience
Deck cadet : 1991- 1993- worked on various OBO vessels with conversion from bulk to oil cargo.
4th Officer: 1994- 1995 – worked on OBO vessel. Vessel dry-docks during the tenure.
3rd Officer: 1995 – 1996 – worked on geared handy max vsl operating worldwide carrying bulk as well as general cargo- steel, sugar, salt etc. vessel dry-dock during the tenure.
2nd Officer: 1996 – 1998 – worked on geared handy max , container vessel, and panamax bulk carrier. Dry-docking of vessels taken place during the above tenure.
Ch/off : 1998 – 2003 – worked throughout on geared panamax vessel, ranging from yard delivery to vessels of 25 years age. Also vessels underwent special survey during my tenure.
Master : 2003- Till present – Took over command in Feb’03 on geared panamax vessel. Have served on geared panamax, handy size vessels. presently having command experience of about 6 yrs.
During the above tenure carried out various ship routine surveys/certification /inspections satisfactorily, namely- special surveys, annual surveys, ISM audit-internal/external, ISPS-external audit, USCG inspection, AMSA inspection.
Major cargo movements : Coal, Petcoke, Iron Ore, Steel Products, Grain…all across the major and minor ports of the world.
Shore based Assignment:
During the above period I also worked ashore with a leading offshore company engaged in offshore operations with ONGC at Bombay high.
Designated as:
- DPA
- CSO
-Marine superintendent/Manning Incharge.
Joined the company in July’05, prepared the SMS manuals and SSA, SSP. Carried out DOC of the company and SMC of all vessels classed with IRS which considered as major achievement to start the management and trading of the vessels.
Liaising with DG Shipping and IRS at various levels for conduct of surveys and certification, and management of the vessels.
