• Have worked primarily on Oil Tankers – Product and Crude and have gained good experience on the care and handling of this cargo and knowledge of the nature and peculiarities of this trade.
• Excellent computer and web based skills. Own and moderate an interactive group of maritime professionals. The present strength is about 560 members spread across the globe. Key issues concerning the industry are actively debated and informative articles posted regularly.
• Good networking and personnel skills. Share an excellent rapport with all my colleagues and seniors and preserved long lasting associations with them. I have worked with many nationalities ranging from British, Norwegian, Polish to Burmese, Sri Lankan, Filipinos and Malaysian seafarers.
• Am a member of the Company of Master Mariners of India and participate in lecture meetings and seminars conducted by them and other associations.
• Experienced vessel’s collision with iceberg and involved in subsequent repairs.
• Involved in rescue of 5 fishermen in South China Seas from capsized boat.
• Involved in refloating aground tanker while alongside berth at Galveston, USA
• Took over new building Aframax tanker from Imabari Shipyard, Japan
• Involved in recovery of anchor & cable that ran out.
• Encountered hurricane force weather in winter North Atlantic sustaining damage to deck equipment and issuance of Sea Protest.
• Handled emergency maneuvering during US river transit.
• Handled minor chicken pox outbreak on board.
• Oversaw salvage with LOF, emergency lightering and refloating of laden tanker while aground in Venezuela.
