43 years in industry, 23 as licensed master/mate/pilot. Primarily in Alaskan waters and connecting bodies of water. Retired in 2004as licensed officer with Alaska marine Highway System.
Education
High school plus 2 years college and attendance at many cerification training courses for relevant ancillary certificates to my USCG License.

Master Ocean Stema or Motor vessels to 1600GT, Master Inland Steam or Motor vessels of Any Gross Tons,3rd Mate of ocean stm or mtr vessels AGT, Master Uninspected ocean fishing vessels to 5000 Gross tons, 1rst class pilot any gross tons , upon the waters of SE alaska and Puget Sound. Radar observer, GMDSS Radio Operator,Advanced firefighting per USCG,Bridge resource management cert. STCW Cert.,Basic Safety Training Cert., Crowd Control Cert.,Supervisor Training Cert(state of AK.)

Exceptional shiphandling skils under exreme weather conditions,exceptional crew management and training skils,exceptional piloting skils and knowledge of BC and Alaskan waters. Highly skilled in supervising and coordinating shipyard overhauls, crew drills for and USCG vessel inspection preparation.
I have a wide range of experience on many types and classes vessels,including tugs, passenger vessels,tankers, cargo ships , fishhing vessels, yachts and research vessels. I primarily interested in short term employment in the form of delivery jobs. I am only interested in sailing as master.
