Master Mariner / Chief Mate

Objective


OBJECTIVE: To obtain a position in a dynamic growth-oriented company associated with container terminals and container parks, bulk and general cargo stevedoring and ancillary services and/or in the Dock and Warehousing Department.

I am willing to relocate anywhere in the U.S.A.


Experience


EXPERIENCE: I have had vast experience in the Marine field, having spent 30 years at sea both as Master Mariner and as Chief Mate. During these years I have been actively involved in various aspects of ship operations including and not limited to supervision of loading / unloading of bulk cargo such as grain (different types), iron/manganese/titanium ores, coal, zinc/copper concentrates, fish meal, bulk/bagged cement, logs/sawn timber, general cargoes and containers. My background includes a certain familiarity with the port operations as well as a solid general knowledge of cargo operations.

I have worked on a wide variety of ships ranging from large Container vessels of capacity upto 2850 TEU’s to log carriers, general cargo, multipurpose, Handymax / Panamax and Cape size bulk carriers.


Education


Master Mariner, Class 1 Deck, Certificate of Compentency. (UK / Ireland ).

Training Ship “DUFFERIN” from 1963 to 1965 (Pre Sea Training)


Certification


All relevant STCW Certificates ( All are valid)


Skils


Have handled Cape Size Bulk Carriers
