Skils
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE:
• Paid employee for 16 years as Master and Chief Mate on oceangoing steam, gas turbine and motor cargo and tank vessels of 15,000 gross tons or greater. Licensed Deck Officer for over 21 years.
ISO/ ISM LEAD AUDITOR:
• Conduct Second Party and Internal ISO/ISM audits as Lead Auditor on oceangoing vessels. Write Audit Reports, Non Conformities and Safety Management System procedures / checklists for key shipboard functions.
VETTING SURVEYOR:
• Conduct material condition inspections of Company Vessels. Documented and report survey Findings to
Company. Make recommendations for repairs and/or improvements.
POLLUTION SAFETY ADVISOR:
• Ensure safe and pollution free Vessel turnarounds for International and USA Tank vessels loading and discharging various products at Oil Terminals along the Mississippi River. Consult with Master and Chief Officer to ensure safety and anti pollution measures are adhered to. Liaison between Vessel and Terminal. Submit report to Oil Company on vessel performance, safety, condition and near misses.
