Master from February 2006 to date with Great Circle and Dockendale -



• Successfully managed overall operations of the ship, including commercial functions and interactions with port and coastal agencies of various countries thereby protecting ship and owner interests.

• Achieved safe navigation in varying circumstances, minimized turn around time in ports thereby making the entire operation productive and profitable for all parties involved.

• Implemented latest international and flag state legislation and helped in modifying existing company policies and directives to ensure strict compliance in port states.

• Handled a wide range of cargoes including break bulk steel (coils, plates, slabs, pipes, beams, rebar’s), HBI, Cement, Ores, Coal, Grain, Fertilizers and Sugar, from and to sensitive ports, to the satisfaction of all concerned resulting in fleet ships being re-nominated for similar trades.

• Hand picked to work on ships plying in the Great Lakes (Lakers).

• Efficiently managed resources at hand when trading on short haul routes involving strenuous self loading and discharging operations.

• Sailed on Lakers, Cape sizers and Panamax ships. Carried sensitive cargoes like newsprint, paper rolls, paper pulp, plywood, packaged lumber, cold rolled and hot rolled steel products, bagged cargoes, unitized cargoes like truck chassis, sail boats, etc

• Sailed on bulk carriers of various sizes carrying a variety of bulk, break bulk and general cargoes.


Education


• Certified to serve as Master (without limitations) by Maritime and Coastguard Agency, Southampton, U.K. in 2002.

• Higher National Diploma in Nautical Science with grades of Merit and Distinction, after completing an approved programme at South Tyneside College, U.K. in 1999.

• Computer Literacy and Information Technology, Stage 1 awarded by Oxford Cambridge and RSA Examinations in 1999.

- ISM courses in BTM, BRM, Weather Routeing, Bulk Carrier Safety


Skils


- Experience as Master from 2006 till date

- Assisted with compilation os ISPS and SOPEP manuals for two months at the Anglo Eastern Training Center
