Objective


My main objective would be ship handling and navigation. I am primarily interested in the posting of Marine Specialist/Vessel Operator on the Arktos for Suncor in Ft. McMurray. I am also open to other positions in the Marine Industry that apply to my experience and skills.


Experience


Canadian National Railways(Master of Tugs Phyllis and Margaret Yorke,Pushed two four hundred foot barges across the St.Clair River.(1983-1994)Safe navigation and transportation of Rail Cars. Responsible for Crew and Cargo. Knowledge in Customs and any related paper work for operating internationally. Canadian Coast Guard. Third and Second Officer on board the Ships Griffon and Simcoe. (1997-1998)Experience in Search and Rescue and Ice Breaking Operations.Responsible for all safety equipment and Crew as Officer of the watch. Canada Steamship Lines Third Officer on M.V. Pineglen and CSL Niagara.(2002-2003)M.V. Pelee Islander.First Mate and Captain. (2004-2005)M.S. Chi-Cheemaun. First Mate. (2005-2010)Responsible for the safe Operation of an efficient and economical deck department, and the loading and unloading of a 144 vehicle capacity Ferry with a passenger and crew capacity of 638. In Charge of all Crew and Passenger Saftey while on board. Responsible for the safe mooring of the Vessel between Ports. Acheivements in all the above positions resulted in revenue/profit growth for the Company, Strong team Management to strengthen Crew retention acccomplished in all aspects of the above positons.
