While working in Wallem, supplement to previous experience , participate in Lichyes carriage from Madagaskar to France. Due to too long contracts decided to find another work and was employed by V-Ships Norway as Ch.Officer on board mv “Tundra Consumer “ GRT 11590, ME 11800HP. Worked on liner service between Costa Rica and USA. Vessel was in Del Monte time charter and used for carriage of various mixed cargoes such as melons, water melons, bananas, plantains and up to 144 reefer FEU containers on deck. During this contract was promoted to Master position however due to change of management to Indian FML was not reemployed (company had only three reefers at this moment, and all of them was taken by FML). In November 2002 employed by ARMADA reefers as Ch.Officer and in 2004 was promoted to Master position. The vessel mainly worked Norway fishing trade in summer time and fruits /vegetable trade on liner service from Israel to France in winter time. Working in Armada gain great experience in arrangement self loading/discharging operations, mooring/unmooring without pilot assistance in various weather condition. In 2007 understanding that reefer fleet is not build any more have first attempt to work ashore. Ashore working experience:
- Ship’s operator, UNIMARS SHIPPING COMPANY Ltd. Operation of dry cargo vessels . Calculation of economical efficiency of voyages, close work with agencies round the world, planning of bunker supply and control of the most efficient use of vessel’s capacity. Analyze of final economical result and reasons of discrepancies with preliminary voyage calculations.
- Gained a lot of practical experience and knowledge of Ship’s operations. Method of control and cooperation with ship’s crew concerning commercial and operating matters, knowledge of port dues and agency fee calculations in various ports within European and Mediterranean area.
Due to reduction of salary in year 2008 financial crisis, resume sea work in ARAMDA(at this moment renamed in Maestro reefers) . In 2012 receive offer to work in Nordtrade Ltd.
- Operating and Chartering Manager. Working in Nordtrade Ltd have gained experience in negotiation and preparation Charter parties. Chartering the timber, steel scrap and other General cargoes including project cargoes. Same period have worked on board managed vessels as Master-Supervisor. As Master-supervisor mostly was used to assist crew in calculation of ship’s stability, vessel modification and increasing vessel intake. As example during my work mv Kergi increase intake of sawn timber from 7500 till abt 8000 cbm. Additionally assist to crew in protection Owner’s interest in case cargo problems. Worked in close cooperation with Technical managements to improve effectiveness of repair/maintenance works.
Working as Staff Master on board mv Atlantic Trader, was requested by Owner’s to assist crew in entering San-Nikolas, Argentina and make general vessel inspection. In 2014 have decided to return to sea due to, as per my opinion, absence of personal perspectives working ashore. Continue at sea Sending applications to various companies, received offer from previous Time Charterers EIMSKIP to work on board mv Winter Bay managed by Aquaship LTD. Where worked till 01.05.2017.(company was rebranded to PLATANO). On board m/v Winter Bay have passed North Sea Route from Iceland to Japan and back without pilot and icebreaker assistance. Latest contract was on board 55309 DW bulker with cranes. Carry abt 30000 mts of steel coils from S.Korea to Turkey via Gulf of Aden and Suez Canal. Vessel was sold and presently I am looking for new employment. |
