 Senior member  managing and accountable for all aspects of unit. Led waterway partners to achieve mutual respect for the mitigation of hazardous shoaling throughout Long Island, N.Y.

Anthony Certa is a U. S. Coast Guard Boatswain with twenty two years experience conducting all facets of maritime operations.  With a life long learning attitude Mr. Certa is an accomplished emergency management and maritime system manager with tremendous operational experience in both public and private settings. He brings more than 22 years of leadership, emergency operations, and management support experience gained through his tenure with the  U.S. Coast Guard.  Mr. Certa has a profound knowledge of maritime transportation issues, ranging from search and rescue to port security. He also has proven effectiveness in strategic planning, organizational management, emergency management, and innovative problem solving.  As a USCG Deck Watch officer, he has over seven years at sea including most recent assignment onboard USCGC SPENCER as deck officer.  He is actively pursuing a 1600 Gross Register Tonnage Master endorsement for his U.S. Merchant Mariner document.
