Education
Experience:
-Spent 16 years with the Washington State Ferries working every position on all 28 vessels up to 460 feet, including high speed catamarans (water-jet propulsion), within the multiple routes of Puget Sound
-Ample experience in ship-handling/berthing of vessels multiple times daily
-Piloting in narrow channels with reduced visibility
-Precise track line maneuvering in support of deep sea/coastal operations including close quarter vessel maneuvers in cooperation with Navy Submarine
- Extensive training in passenger crowd control, conflict resolution, first aid, fire fighting and overboard rescue
- Kongsberg Dynamic Positioning System knowledge combined with manual station keeping during deployments -Extensive experience in marine data gathering operations: bathymetry mapping, coring, dredging, deep tow side-scan sonar, CTD casts, plankton tows, deep sea moorings, meteorological observations

My related work experience includes: operating a fleet of 28 vessels ranging from a 460 ft. auto ferry to a high-speed 112 ft. crew boat, and for last three years I have worked on a Dynamic Positioning equipped SWATH research vessel (conducting various support and station keeping assignments throughout the islands in the Pacific). My strong interpersonal savvy and cross-cultural social skills have enabled me to thrive in foreign environments, thus being very intrigued by companies with global opportunities.
