My chief goal is to obtain gainful employment in the maritime industry with a company that is growth oriented. Ultimately I would like to to achieve my goal of completing all necessary steps to obtain a license as a Captain 1600gt Oceans.

Apprentice Mate: Donjon Marine, Laborde Marine
Sailed as an AB/ Mates Apprentice aboard harbor tugs and 1600gt OSV while pursuing a 1600gt Oceans License. I am still enrolled at Mitags and currently pursuing said license but must acquire more sea time sailing as an AB on a vessel of appropriate tonnage.

Captain
Sailed as Master of 40ft work boat with a middle management supervisory role during BP oil- spill cleanup operations with the following responsibilities.
-Navigation and coordination of movement of 26 to 30 small vessels.
-Recording GPS locations and mapping the deployment of oil absorbent boom.
-Kept record of the amount of materials being deployed or used daily.
-Assisted in logistical aspects of procuring additional materials needed to continue operations.

Completed five semesters at A&M three of which were as a cadet of Texas Maritime Academy. My field of study was marine transportation and maritime studies. I was not able to complete my education due to lack of funding. It is my strong desire to attain a Baccalaureate degree in the future.
