2012- 2013 Master of the R/V OCEAN STARR conducting trawl surveys for NOAA, In charge of all ship board operation.

2010 Gulf of Mexico working on board the R/V OCEAN VERITAS as part of the response team for the Deepwater Horizon disaster

Responsible for maneuvering the vessel during deep sea water and bottom sampling with a CTD and Multicore units

· Responsible for an eight hour standard watch and maneuvering during bottom mapping operations.

· Oversaw launching and recovery operations of two thirty two foot launches

· Supervised a deck crew of four



WESTWARD FISHING COMPANY, Seattle, WA 1999 - 2008

Chief Mate

· Supervised a crew of four personnel on a single boat. Responsible for nighttime operations of the vessel.

· Oversaw all deck operations.

· Responsible for the up keep and maintenance deck equipment

· Safety Drill Instructor

· Oversaw all cargo operations, loading and offloading

· Fished the Bering Sea and Western Aleutian Islands.

ALASKA TRAWL FISHERIES, Edmonds, WA 1993 - 1998

Master (1996 – 1998)

· Responsible for all operations of the ship as well as deck operations. Crew was comprised of 110 individuals.

· Responsible for training and safety of all crew members

· Fished the Bering Sea and Western Aleutian Islands

· Responsible for fishing operation twelve hours a night.

· Supervised a deck crew of ten

· Oversaw deck operations

· Chief Medical Officer and Licensed Safety Drill Instructor.
