Executive Protection / Estate Protection Agent

• Trained and licensed according to California Bureau of Security & Investigative Services mandates regarding private security officers.

• Member of dozens of protective security details throughout California, with focus primarily on high profile personalities, their families, and homes.

• Experience includes the following assignments: Reduction in force / workplace violence prevention detail for Yahoo, estate protection at the home of a high profile couple, as well as executive protection of their two children, executive protection / driver for several key speakers during a highly publicized seminar tour in San Diego, CA, and executive protection for multiple “A-list” celebrities at various high profile events throughout southern California.

2000 Unites States Marine Corps Camp Pendleton, CA

Military Police Officer (Sergeant)

• Volunteered for and received temporary assignment to Security Battalion, Military Police Company, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton.

• Trained in use of force, force continuum, arrest procedures, expandable baton, chemical agents (pepper spray), qualified with M9 pistol.

• Performed all duties indicative of military law enforcement personnel, such as sentry duty at points of entry to base, screened persons / vehicles attempting to enter base, conducted traffic stops, searches of persons / vehicles, issued citations, wrote police reports, enforced Uniform Code of Military Justice as well as base regulations, state and federal laws, liaison with federal, state, and local civilian law enforcement counterparts.

• Supervised up to four junior enlisted Marines in the execution of their military police duties, to ensure due diligence and officer safety.

1998-2000 United States Marine Corps 1st BN 5th Marines

Mortar Man / Team Leader (Corporal)

• Trained and supervised mortar team members in the tactical employment of 60 mm mortar as part of a Marine amphibious assault force, using combat rubber reconnaissance craft (CRRC). Additional training included custody assistant (chaser) school, as well as advanced mortar gunnery at the 1st Marine Division, Division Schools.

• Trained for and conducted OCONUS clandestine amphibious operations while assigned to 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) deployed to Okinawa, Japan, participated in exercise Crocodile ’99 in association with Australian forces. Additional training included tactical recovery of aircraft personnel (TRAP) and mountain warfare with Republic of Korea Marines at Pohang, South Korea.

1997 - 1998 United States Marine Corps Guantanamo Bay, Cuba

Mortar Man (Lance Corporal)

• Trained for and conducted force protection as well as screening and reconnaissance operations while aboard U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Additional training included mortar gunnery with 81 mm mortars, as well as small unit infantry tactics. Specialty training and development included Marine Corps Marksmanship Instructor School and Corporals Leadership Course, as well as distance learning modules through the Marine Corps Institute.

• Duties included live reconnaissance patrols of perimeter fence line, observation of enemy activity, apprehension of Cuban nationals seeking asylum, armed escort of civilian contractors outside of safe zone, QRF in the event of a security breach or hostile action, clandestine security for diplomatic meetings between U.S. and Cuban officials, and supervision of all fence line operations from command post.
