ROLE: Lead a small S. Korean shipyard to recognition in producing foreign classification, industry standard ships.
ACHIEVEMENTS: Leadership and instruction raised production efficiency, quality and workmanship. Shipyard commissioned a new slipway and dry-dock crane
RESULTS: Successful delivery to owners for five handy size self unloading bulk carriers
Onsite Classification Society Surveyor for New Construction of Chemical Carrier
ROLE: Supervised small S. Korean shipyard raising quality standards and workmanship acceptable to industry recognized quality standard and foreign commercial interests.
ACHIEVEMENTS: Advanced to project manager by gaining qualifications for initial commissioning of Marpol Annex II (Chemical) vessels.
RESULTS OF PROJECT: Successful commissioning and delivery of Chemical Carrier to owners. Continued Cooperation with the shipyard and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for Classification of all vessels at the shipyard.
Onsite Classification Society Surveyor for New Construction of Panamax Bulk Carriers
ROLE: Project Manager at an advance Japanese Shipyard for four vessels reported to two separate owners. Coordinated with the shipyard, owners and classification engineering. Produced reports/updates during construction for the same design vessel
ACCOMPLISHMENT: Leadership provided to the shipyard regarding advanced ship building quality standards and workmanship.
RESULTS Successful commissioning and delivery of four vessels to both owners at an advanced Japanese shipyard well within strict building schedule.
