Marine Logistics Coordinator/Analyst (on call 24 hours)

• Lead a two-member team to develop the most efficient approach to safely supplying vessels with marine lubricant oils as ordered. Oversaw multiple supplier/blenders making sure they carry out their responsibilities, including quality control, ensuring transportation services met contract obligations as well as local and national government regulatory requirements.

• Serviced as supply and ordering liaison between various clients and countries, mainly for language translations.

• Reviewed, approved/rejected, and posted for payment, all invoices both incoming and outgoing to ensure pricing and volumes were properly charged (North and South America Regions).

• Daily communication with Partners to assist with issues, complaints and functions.

• Fully responsible for running volumes, accounting (sales, statements, over dues), and customer management reports by using the WEBIntelligence/Business Objects Program.

• Responsible for new hire training for both North and South American offices including Partner personnel, to make certain proper usage of the shared internet sales program were being carried out. Training included usage of equipment, global programs, and assuring processes and procedures were within company guidelines.

• Assisted department Marine Engineer in retrieving and issuing client’s oil analysis reports to ensure proper maintenance of the vessels.

• Assisted with developing supply forecasts for various countries, ensuring inventories needed were kept on hand.

• Responsible for ordering and maintaining secure levels of marine additives and secondary/ finished products for two Central/South American countries.

• Credit Management: Preparing/ distribution of bi-monthly statements, payment details (A/R and A/P), attending credit meetings with Partners (blenders/ suppliers).

• Assisted Regional Zone Manager, Marine Engineer and Sale Manager in various team developing agendas.
