Shipping Agent
Maintained full responsibility for the Northeast port operations of oil tankers. Served as a liaison between ship captains, owners, charters, port authorities, US customs, and immigration authorities. Coordinated arrangements for docking / undocking, loading / unloading cargo, ship surveys, and meeting crew requirements. Authored a computer program on Lotus for tracking shipping agent assignments. Single handedly managed many complex port operations for foreign oil tankers.

Developed several procedures for facilitating operations; avoided redundancy, improved inventory control, and reported tasks to and saved money for management.
