• Spearheading multiple IT teams and initiatives that led to the completion of the most complex ERP system (financials, operations, logistics, supply chain) ever designed in the industry.

• Reviewed operations, financial results, personnel capabilities and offered strategies to help grow the company in to a global powerhouse and presented findings and recommendations to senior executives.

General Manager, GRECOMAR SHIPPING AGENCY, Piraeus, Greece 1986 – 1994

Running the day-to-day operations of the company and managing all department heads. Reporting to the President/CEO. Proposed investment strategies and decisions that netted the company over $100 million in profits.



Some of my responsibilities included:

• In charge of the operations department achieving over 15% savings of our running expenses

• Supervising the chartering department fixing our fleet consistently above market rates.

• Responsible for the claims, insurance and post fixture departments.

• Initiated the computerization of the company using Danaos as the vendor of our fleet management software

• In charge of the S&P Department and all negotiations

• Handling the purchase of bunkers
