I have a wide range of experience as Chief Engineer on ocean tugs, harbor tugs, an ITB and ATB‘s, supply boats, research vessels and Cruise Ships. I have worked DP, diesel electric, and CP systems. Chief Engineer On 2 ocean tugs operating in the gulf of Mexico and Mexico. During this period I supervised yard periods and ABS inspections on both vessels.

2nd Assistant Engineer on the 300’ container vessel Strong Patriot. This vessel was engaged in freight transport from Norfolk Va. To the Azores. This vessel was Danish built and used MAK main engines.

•Chief Engineer on board the ocean tug Eileen Roehrig based in New York city and working the eastern seaboard and the Gulf of Mexico. This vessel used twin 16 cylinder EMD’s.
• CLIPPER SEAFOODS LTD Aug 2003 – Nov. 2003
• Chief Engineer on the Clipper Express , a 165’ long line fishing vessel operating in the Bearing Sea. This vessel was using all CAT engines which included a single main of 3000 HP ( 3606 ) , 2 ea. 3408 generator sets, and 1 3406 generator set. It also used a hydraulic bow thruster and employed multiple Freon refrigeration systems.
• JORE TRANSPORTATION ( vessel Strong American ) May 2003 – July 2003
1st Assistant Engineer on a 650’ , 7200 HP EMD powered ITB Ro-Ro to the Middle East under contract to MSC. I was flown to Bahrain and brought the vessel around Saudi Arabia, thru the Red Sea and Suez Canal, across the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean to Charleston SC.

Relief Chief Engineer for the passenger vessels Nantucket Clipper and Yorktown Clipper carrying passengers on both coasts of the U.S. , Mexico , Central and parts of South America , Great Lakes , Alaska , and Caribbean . In this position I was responsible for operation, maintenance and repair of the ships in port and at sea while operating in remote areas of the world. I was responsible for management and supervision of the engineering staff and all outside contractors. This company was an up scale specialty cruise line providing exotic cruises, at times in conjunction with National Geographic, Smithsonian Institute and major universities etc. During this assignment I also maintained the ships fleet of outboard powered hard bottom inflatable boats.

Relief Chief Engineer on a wide variety of offshore supply vessels within the Ensco fleet . Responsible for maintenance and repair as well as cargo loading / unloading, supervision of crew,
and coordinating contractor repair operations. These vessels were operating in the Gulf of Mexico.

Crowley’s tugs at pier 17, Seattle. During this time I obtained my USCG license (DDE 4000), and received formal training in fire fighting, first aid, hazardous material handling and CPR.

The majority of our customers were Fortune 500 corporations, the US Military and NASA.. These systems were primarily used for factory automation, research, flight simulation and Defense.
