Winter 10- Bath Iron Works-General Dynamics: Hull Outfit 3D design
Present
Hull Outfit Catia designer on DDG-1000 project with experience in Foundation design, Joiner Bulkhead and Door work, Structural Door work, Damage Control outfit, and Accommodations. Implemented Change Work and designed items from vessel specification. Prepared change packages for Engineering Review using Catia and Power Point. Interfaced with Engineering, Damage Control, and Combat Systems in designing stowages and foundation for equipment.
Fall 08- C. Fly Marine Services: Lead Designer/ Drafter
Winter 10
Design work on a series of 142’ tugs, a series of 285’ OSVs, and a 164’ yacht using ShipConstructor. Layout for unit rolls and moves for a 300’ OSV, a 285’ OSV, and a fireboat. Experience with Structural, Nesting, Assembly, and Product Hierarchy modules of ShipConstructor. Interfacing with Rhino to obtain design information for use in ShipConstructor and AutoCad 2007.
Fall 07- Northrop Grumman Corporation-Shipbuilding-Avondale: Designer III,
Fall 08 Outfitting Department, National Security Cutter.
As a Designer III in Outfitting at NGSB I designed foundations, fittings, and any other non-structural attachment to the vessel. Also within my scope was implementing change paper produced by field engineering from either verbal instructions or field sketches. In addition to actual design duties I assisted in tracking new change paper, coordinated change paper implementation being done offsite by subcontractors, and helped my supervisor prepare for weekly progress and planning meetings.

Job Coordination involved facilitating communication between engineering and production, receiving drawings from engineering and doing material takeoffs, and requisitioning structural and nested items.

Fall 06
Supervising and directing up to 60 repair and new construction tradespersons in daily operations, major procedures, and emergency repairs of work boats.
Spring 01- Kody Marine, Harvey, Louisiana: Drafting/Design Consultant/ Head Designer
Summer 05
Main Drafter on the production of 9 Push Boats ranging from 72’ to 120’ and 1750 to 3200 HP.
Accomplished in production of as-built drawings for vessel’s being repaired and in design of new foundations, fittings, and structure as required for a re-power, rebuild, or redesign of work boats. Experience with ABS certifications; load line and Maltese Cross.
