My objective is to fill a position as a marine technician aboard a research vessel.

Scientist, Marine Technician
? Deploy and recover CTD’s, MOCHNESS and Trawl nets. Build, operate, maintain and disassemble acoustic transducer pole. Set up GPS systems and analyze acoustic images of water column. Live sampling and preservation. Sex and maturity determination, stomach content analysis of target species. Operate hydraulic A-frame, assemble and break down MOCHNESS and trawl nets.

Strong scientific background, paired with the willingness to work hard is my best quality. I’ve gained experience writing in a technical style, working through the scientific method, using scientific notation, and performing statistical analysis. Developed basic seamanship, experience with field calibrations and navigational systems, ability to operate small boats and tie knots. My computer skills are strong, and I enjoy taking apart and rebuilding instruments. Trained to maintain inventory of equipment and supplies, calibrate devices, keep accurate records including production logs, troubleshoot systems, read MSDS sheets, and write and perform SOP’s flawlessly.
