Experience
July 2005 - Present ConocoPhillips Joined ConocoPhillips as Marine Tech Supervisor (rotator) for FSO- Nabarima, Corocoro Project Gulf of Paria Venezuela. As part of maintenance Team we developed preventive maintenance procedures for the facilities (WHA, FSO and CPF). Supervision of preservation maintenance, aboard the FSO during anchorage time at Samsung Ship yard Korea. Participated in preparation of all the regulatory documentation for the FSO, complying with Solas, Marpol and government.April 2006 Transferred to Mechanical Supervisor (rotator) for WHA & CPF. Here my duties were to develop maintenance procedures and support the Build out of the CMMS (SAP). Participate in HAZOP’s and risk analysis.
January 2003 – Present: Independent Marine Surveyor Providing professional consultation services to the maritime industry, conducting integrity surveys, advising, and auditing of ISM code compliance issues.
PDVSA- PDV MARINA, S.A. 2001-2002: Project leader: lead the migration process to Reliability Centered Maintenance for the PDVM tanker fleet, in order to achieve world class standards. Coordinated training for the office and marine staff in order to comply with world class standards. 2000 al 2001: Technical Service Superintendent- Coordinated major maintenance (Dry Dock) for PDV tanker fleet. Responsible for managing operating budget for a family of four tankers. Conducted contract reviews and technical audits ensuring vessel integrity and safety. 1998-2000: Chief Engineer Product tanker1988-1998: First Engineer-Product and LPG tanker1985-1988: Second Engineer-Product and LPG tanker1983-1985: Third Engineer-Product and Crude oil tankerDuring the combined years I had the experience of working in Operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, including overhauls of major equipment and systems. Also provided expertises in the area of new construction to vessels.(ship yard).Possess a solid technical and working understanding of diesel Engine Low, medium, and high speed, Boilers, Thermal Oil Boilers, Steam turbine, Purifier L.O, D.O, F.O, water maker, sewage plant, air compressor, pumps- centrifugal, alternative, positive displacement, and multi staged. Valves, Pneumatic and Hydraulic System, Air condition, Refrigeration Plant, and inert gas plants. Always complying with international safety standard such as Job safety analysis (JSA), HAZOP, Risk analysis, and safety meeting.
