Conducting inquiries into accidents & below par operations.

Critical overview of fleet performance to identify areas of weakness & strength and development of action plan to move forward on these.

Performance setting using key performance monitors, monitoring of fleet for safety statistics including lost time, Safety and Improvement reporting.

Worked extensively on training programs for Jahre Wallem Fleet of vessels –consisting of Bulk Carriers, Container, and RO-RO vessels since 2003. Sailed with all vessels for training programs On board Training staff on Maritime resource management and Bridge team management procedures. Auditing of full fleet with respect to compliance to Bridge procedures and Marpol/Environment regulations and policies.

Worked exclusively with Jahre Wallem Quality Assurance Department for all functions including Internal Audits of entire cargo ship fleet and office since 2003.

ISPS Code introduction and implementation of ISPS Code on full Jahre Wallem fleet.

ISO 9001, quality systems introduced for Westwood and Seaboard fleet, Monitoring of KPI and safety systems for above fleets

Liaison between Owners representative, charterers representative on board and reporting to Senior Management (Directors) on their objectives and requirements

Was deputed to assist with Quality and Safety department of Jahre Wallem.

Hands down approach, Attending to V/Ls Tanker fleet in Safety Training, Internal Audits, and Operations which included proactive planning for safe loading, discharging, vetting and supervision, Guiding Masters on Company Policy, ISGOTT standards, Bridge Procedures, Vetting requirements for Oil Majors. Vetting and Audits included identifying weak links and flaws in on board systems and equipment and correction of it.

V/Ls consisted of OBO’s, Aframax, Suez Max, VLCCs, and ULCCs.

Supervision of workshops / Shore labor on board.

Supervision of loading and discharging operations for the Companies ULCCs, and other V/ls

Liaison between Owners representative, charterer’s representative on board and reporting to Senior Management (Directors) on their objectives and requirements.

Preparing Tankers for Dry-docking, which includes, Tank cleaning, Preparing Dry Doc specs, Preparation and Supervision of Hot work and major repairs on board.

Training of Staff at the In-house training institute for the Company’s maintenance Software.

On board Training staff on BRM and BTM procedures.

Supervision of a Pilot project for Ballast Tank maintenance in one of the Company’s VLCCs.

Cargo and ballast Tank inspection, For VLCCs as part of company’s proactive approach to Hull maintenance policy.

Recently, actively involved in on-board training in BRM and BTM, Loss prevention, ISPS awareness.
