Objective
I possess considerable experience and qualifications as Master in the shipping industry, working on a variety of vessels including Floating Production Storage Offloading units (F.P.S.O.), VLCC’s, Crude and product tankers.
For the last 3 years I have been actively involved in the conversion, installation, start up, and operation of a turret moored F.P.S.O. producing 100,000 bpd in offshore Brazil. Duties included overseeing marine system installation as well as writing the operational procedures and documentation.
I am an excellent coordinator and communicator with people at all levels and adopt a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
Experience
At Present Cargo Superintendent with Single Buoy Moorings
For last 36 months have been senior Marine representative for Owners on the conversion of a 312m VLCC tanker into a 100,000 bbls/day FPSO vessel for duties in offshore Brazil. Duties included: -

· For 3 months stood by vessel during conversion and have liaised with yard and conversion engineers, reporting to Owners on progress and scope of work.
· Advise Owners on deviations of work scope
· Inspection of all tank spaces for suitability of service for 15 years, and advice on steel work renewals.
· Hi-light of potential problems / clashes to engineers and resolve it.
· Carried out inspections, FAT’s, as well as commissioning of systems on Owners behalf.
· Written various operational procedures as well as the SEP and operational manuals for the marine systems.
· Sailed the unit to offshore Brazil.
· Installation of unit in 1280m of water
· Commissioning of equipment and first oil
· Loading and offloading of unit through tandem mooring system consisting of hydraulic hose and hawser reel.
· Competency Assessor for Marine deck department.
· In charge of general day to day marine operations including maintenance, crane and supply boat operation, manning, SEP, competency, and onboard security.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
· Experience at sea includes working on the following vessels:
o Cargo superintendent/Master/Cargo Supervisor on turret moored FPSO’s since Last 3 years.
o ChOfficer onVLCC/Product Tanker for 4 years.
o 2nd Officer on VLCC/Product/ OBO for 3 years.
o 3rd Officer on Product tankers/ Cellular Container/Bulk Carriers for one year.
Education
A committed and qualified Master with vast experience in the shipping industry working on a variety of vessels including Floating Production Storage Offloading units, VLCC’s, Crude and product tankers. An excellent communicator, coordinator and motivator who has a proven track record in operational and people management in a pressurised environment. Has demonstrated the ability to adapt to change, achieving results and meeting deadlines as a result of a dedicated approach to work and knowledge of the industry.
