Siesmic exploration--- mechanic helper,driller, started as helper on a maintance crew(Great Bear Lake)then to the drill crew when the camp started up. Major achievement-- take responsiblity of a rig and drill. Was called back to Western Geo. but had bought a boat by then and the lobster season had started
1976-97 Self-employed Commerical Fisherman-- vessel owner and operator-- fishing lobster and groundfish.

the company consisted of a fish production operation as well as a boatshop of which I owned and worked. When the right opportunity came I sold the Company.

Since 2001 I have been self-emploted in the building industry as a carpenter. working alone on smaller jobs.

Skils
I have 20yrs+ expierence as Captian and vessel owner operator, fishing off the S W coast off Nova Scotia.I have expierence navigating in all types of weather and sea conditions and any distance from land. I have knowledge of towing and setting gear and the safety that's needed. I have a very good working knowledge of boats and equipment as I have been a boat builder constructing 30-50ft vessels.
I don't have a MED 2 certificate but am willing to take the coarse. When the fishery went in decline I became self-employed in the building industry, now that's slowed there's very little work in this area. When I heard of this opportunity it sounded like the type of work to be envolved in. I am a non smoker,non drinker and I don't due drugs.
