Marine Manager –DPA July 2010-- Present



Working as the marine Manager –DPA for fleet of cargo vessels and oil & Gas tankers. Reporting to the General Manager, the Job scope includes

o Monitoring the Company’s Safety management system and report its performance.

o Carry out safety and environmental audit for fleet vessels and company offices, arrange for Annual Class audits in Office.

o Provide expert advice on marine matters, update on the latest maritime rules & regulations & ensure all marine activities are carried out in a safe and risk free manner.

o Provide adequate shore support for ships, Initiate emergency response as part of the Office Emergency Response team, liaison with external parties.

o Carry out Oil major vettings, Class External audits & other third party audits including Flag State and P & I inspections on board fleet vessels

o Carry out Incident investigations and implement corrective actions including changes to procedures and policies.



Marine Manager -Safety & Operations. July 2005 ---------- June 2010

Reporting directly to the Marine Director at World Tanker Management (Independent Tanker owner ship Company) in Singapore. Responsibilities included.

i) Overseeing the fleet for Safety and performance.

ii) Ensuring that the internal & External ISM & ISPS audits are completed in time.

iii) Update on the latest Maritime rules and regulations, provide expert advise and guidance on marine matters

iv) Arrange for Oil major inspections on board the tanker Vessels.

v) Act as the first point of contact for Vessels in emergencies and initiate shore response.

vi) Prepare and present fleet Safety performance on a quarterly basis.

vii) Liaise with Class and Flag State Authorities on Safety & Marine issues.

viii) Monitor performance & guide the career development of deck offices, ensure vessel’s are manned with experienced, trained & competent staff.

ix) Prepare training presentations, on Safety and Environmental issues for office and ship staff.



MARINE CONSULTANT----------------------------------------------July 2004–June, 05

Worked as a Marine consultant with JCP Marine a leading Consultancy Company in Singapore. Job scope included doing, P&I and H&M surveys, Oil major pre vetting inspections, Management and safety Audits, Damage and Collisions surveys, Conducting ISM safety audits, Designing and conducting training programmes on board tankers, preparing company ISM manuals, presenting findings from incident investigations to company’s clients. Incident investigations and navigational audits.



Internal Auditor & Training Officer----------------------Mar,2002- Aug,2003 Carrying out internal audits, pre vetting inspections and on board training on board Denholm Managed ships.



SHIP MASTER------------------------------------------------ FEB, 1998–SEP, 2003

DENHOLM SHIPMANAGEMENT On board oil tankers gained 5 yrs of command experience. Have served on both Pre Marpol tankers as well as double hulled Suez Max and Aframax ship.

DYNACOM TANKERS:Served as the chief officer for 5 yrs on Afra max & Suez Max crude oil tankers. Crew management, Vessel operations management, preparing health and safety audits, cargo stowage and care.

V-SHIPS INC MONACO:Navigation, Cargo inspections, Safety equipment inspections. Checking and maintaining inventories of stores spares and consumable. Have sailed on gas and Chemical tankers as well.
