Experience
Ocean Shipholdings Inc. 1987 to present. Chief Officer T-5 double hulled product tanker/ITB Chemical tankers. T-5 tank vessels are under charter/ownership of Military Sealift Command. Intimately familiar with SIRE vetting-with over 100 vettings since program inception and a ZERO failure/refuse rate from oil majors including BP, Shell, Repsol, Exxon-Mobil.
National Cargo Bureau, Inc. Hazardous Materials Coodinator 1995-1997 Corporate headquarters New York-responsible for implementing, maintaining, and presenting Hazmat courses in US 49 CFR and IMDG codes to corporate clients presenting to both small and very large audiences.
United States Naval Officer (Active Duty) USS Willamette (AO 180) 1984-1987. Navigator & Combat Information Center division officer. Highest rank attained LCDR.

Hold all current licenses for USCG Master Mariner unlimited, STCW, TWIC card, Tankerman PIC Dangerous liquids/chemicals. All documents current until 2013.

Skils
Responsible to the Master for the administration and supervision of deck department functions; accountable for the safe handling, storage, and transporting of cargo and for the planning and administration of deck maintenance; prepare loading and discharge plans; determine stability, trim, and stress within operating parameters, instruct crew in the preparation of cargo operations and the safe handling, containment, and transportation of cargo; verify and monitor the safe navigation of the vessel. Ship's security officer. Deputy property administrator. Extensive military training for ship's security and anti piracy training provided by US government (USN). Fast learner, patient senior officer in connection with foreign speaking/multi language crews.
I am a hard worker-loyal and dedicated to the company that employs me. I have been with my present employer for 21 years and have sailed aboard the same vessel for the last 12 years. I have a safety record of ZERO serious injuries on the job within the deck department and pride myself in a 100 percent safe working environment for my department personnel.
