2001 - 2006: Head of Security (Security Manager)
Shoe Mart Davao (SM City Davao)
- Directs the security operations of the establishment particularly on the asset protection and safety of personnel.
- Direct administrative and functional control on 200 security personnel, on covert and overt operations.
- Plans and directs operations for events and VIP security details.
- Directly liaises with the police, military, government authorities for coordination and cooperation for security matters.
- Directs and controls security procedures on loss prevention and risk assessment of the establishment.
- Devices plans and programs for further curtailment of losses within the establishment.
- Advices management on current security assessments on threats and other probable disasters within the region.
- Conducts investigation, interrogations, inquiries on crimes committed within the jurisdiction and files appropriate charges in the proper forum for and in behalf of the company.
1995 - 2001: Detailed as a multi-tasked Officer of the 8th Coast Guard District, Philippine Coast Guard
- Administrative/Disbursing/Supply and Logistics Officer
- Directly controls 60 Coast Guard Personnel on admin matters particularly on records and assignments, preparation of payroll vouchers, disbursements and reimbursements of allocated funds, prepares and requisitions supplies and materials for personnel and unit for offshore and shore duties to include logistical requirements of Coastal Guard vessels and other transportation detailed with the unit.
- Marine Environment Protection Officer, - Team leader in all cases of oil spills in the region. Conducts inspections onboard vessels, passenger/cargo, on the compliance with the International Maritime Organization Convention on Marine Pollution 73/78. Leads the investigation and adjudication of marine pollution cases within the region in accordance with pertinent government and international regulations.
-Maritime Safety Officer, - Head of the Vessel Evaluation and Inspection team on Maritime Safety, conducts thorough vessel inspection to avert any sea accidents and ensures that vessels comply with International Maritime Organization's Safety of Life and Property at Sea Convention (SOLAS '74). Conducts safety drills onboard vessels to ensure operational readiness of crew and officers of ships within the jurisdiction.
- Aids to Navigation Officer/ Communications Officer,
- in charge of all navigational equipment within the area particularly on its operability, maintenance and upkeep, logistical requirements and personnel manning/training. Monitors the sea lanes of vessels traversing different routes through the Vessel traffic and Signaling System. Ensures for the timely delivery of communications, voice and fax messages through long range radio, prepares radio message correspondence and updates on the situations and status of reports within the area.
1990 - 1995: Shipboard Duty; Acting Commanding Officer; Executive Officer; Engineering Officer; First Lieutenant and Gunnery Officer; Mess and Supply Officer
- Detailed onboard a Philippine Coast Guard Patrol Gunboat and was able to complete the required billet. Engaged in various military operations from counter - insurgency operations, maritime law enforcement and search and rescue where several military awards commendations were received.
