Marine Enginer

Objective


In my over eleven years (11yrs) in the Oil and Gas Industry, since my Graduation as a Marine Engineer (Ship Power Plants) Eight (8) of which where with Tidex Nigeria Limited (Div. Tidewater Int. Inc.). I have worked as Engineer onboard various vessels of between 3500Bhp (2510KW) to 7000Bhp (5220KW), through the coast of West Africa from Angola to Ivory Coast.

I have worked with Power Plants such as EMD, Detroit Diesel, MTU, Cat, Man Diesel, etc.

With grate expectation I am prepared for more Challenges that will distinguish me in my carrier.


Experience


April 2006 to Present Date Japaul Oil & Maritime Services Plc.

Base Engineer: In charge Management of all Engines and Machinery on all Company Equipment on Land and Sea these include Dredgers, Off Shore/inshore Tug Boats, Crew Boats, Pay Loader, Diesel Electrical Generators, etc.

This involves design and operation of preventive maintenance program, training and retaining program for Engineers, overseeing the repair and maintenance of all engineering equipment.Dry Docking: Sand blasting, Painting, Haul replating, and Shaft, Rudder and Propeller works (Japaul A 2006, Japaul C 2007)



November 2003 to November 2005 Tidex Nigeria Ltd. (Div. Tidewater Int. Inc.)

Shore Engineer (VMP Coordinator): Coordinating the planned maintenance program of Tidewater vessels in Nigeria. Ensuring that all equipment on board Tidewater Boats in Nigeria operations are in adequate working order and are maintained adequately. Running personnel audit on board vessels to ascertain their competency

2nd Engineer on Board Ship Between 3500 – 7000BHP (2610 – 5220KW): Maintenance of Engine room log and watch keeping, Running, repair and maintenance of Main Engines and Auxiliaries such as Generators, Compressors, Pumps, etc. In charge loading and discharge of Fuel oil, Water and Drilling Fluids Such as Oil Base Mud, Base Oil, Cement ,Barite, Bentonite etc. Operating Tow and Tugger Winches during towing and anchor handling operations.
