Snr Electrical Engineer

• Converted a cable layer to an off-shore passenger support

vessel. MV Dan Swift (490 ft /149.5 m)

• Electrical Design, drawings and load analysis.

• Electrical and mechanical room arrangement.

• Integrated control and monitoring system design. (Kongsberg).

• Engineering included DP 2 design, EO engine room control, alarm

and system automation, power distribution, AC (6.6 KV – 110 V) and

DC (110 V -12 V), internal and external communications, navigation electronics, NAUT-OC pilothouse design, ship checks and field and office engineering.

1998–2000 Freeport Ship Building Florida, USA

Engineer/ Project Manager

• Responsible for budgets, reports, specifications, reviewed contractor bids and assisted Purchasing in procuring materials.

• Designed the approved vessel electrical systems which

• US Coast Guard and Lloyd’s liaison for vessels under construction.

• The yard launched eight ships in this time period, ranging in

size from a 65 ft / 20m tug to a 210 ft / 64m Dive excursion ship.

• Expanded duties included, Pipe Foreman and Project Analyst.

• Acting Captain on all eight vessels during sea trails.

1994–1998 Hospitality International Florida, USA

Project Manager/Chief Engineer

• Engineered the design and construction of two ships. 120 ft / 36.5m & 145 ft / 44m Casino Ships

• Successfully completed sea trials and certification from the US Coast Guard Inspections for both ships constructed and sailed

• on them as Chief Engineer.
