Assisted in the construction of 35’ custom sport fishing boats

Duties included: Building fiberglass and Kevlar hulls and decks, building fiberglass molds, laying and finishing teak decking, installing molded fiberglass bulkheads, installing fixtures and hardware.

Islamorada, Florida (Florida Keys) April 1999-December 1999 First Mate in charge of day-to-day operations of 42’ Hatteras sport fishing charter boat.

Duties included: taking 2-6 passengers fishing on a daily basis, routine maintenance of vessel, shipyard work including top-side and bottom repairs, fiberglass work and painting.

Spring Point/Breakwater Marina - South Portland, Maine May 2000-November 2000

Dock Master in charge of day-to-day operation of 121 slip marina.

Duties included: maintenance of docks, billing of water and electric usage, fueling of boats, hauling boats in and out of water for maintenance and winterizing, towing of disabled vessels.

Portland, Maine December 2000-April 2001

Deckhand on all of the companies ferry boats transporting passengers, cargo and cars. Vessels range in size from 65 to 104 feet.

Duties included: mooring of vessel, loading and unloading freight via hydraulic cranes, boarding passengers and vehicles and general upkeep of vessel.

Seattle, Washington April 2001-October 2001

Deckhand and Assistant Engineer on high speed catamaran. Vessel was a 104’ overnight passenger vessel.

Bridge Duties included: standing watch, maneuvering of vessel, chart plotting, use of all navigational equipment (radars, GPS, chart plotter, auto pilot), mooring of vessel and boarding of passengers.

Safety Duties included: safety of passengers, launching and recovering rescue boat, participation in all on board drills – man overboard, fire and abandon ship.

Maintenance Duties included: maintaining exterior of vessel, vessel systems, fueling of vessel daily, main engine oil and coolant changes, generator oil and coolant changes, minor and major repairs of plumbing, electrical, mechanical (engines), HVAC and MSD. Vessel was equipped with 16 cylinder MTU main engines with Rentjes reduction gears one Detroit Diesel 40 Series generator and one Mercedes 50kw generator.

Seattle, Washington April 2002-June 2002

Engineer on high speed catamaran tour boat.

Duties included: maintaining of all vessel systems engines, plumbing, electrical, HVAC.

Vessel was equipped with DDC-MTU 2000 Series 16 cylinder main engines, with Twin Disc gear boxes and two Lugger/Northern Lights generators. Also responsible for relieving Captain: maneuvering and navigating vessel in tight areas around whales and ice in Glacier Bay National Park.

October 2001-January 2002

Engineer for refit of 112’ Bennetti designed yacht Safari Escape.

Duties included: electrical, plumbing, installation of galley equipment, HVAC installation and engine rebuilds. Vessel is powered by two 8l3b Gardner Diesels with Twin Disc gear boxes, and has two LB series 4cylinder Gardner Diesels with Dunlite 45kva generator ends. Vessel operates on 415vac/3phase/50Hz, 230vac/1phase/50Hz, 115vac/1phase, 24V DC & 12V DC.



August 2002-November 2003 & April 2004-April 2005

Chief Engineer on 120’ motor yacht Safari Quest.

Duties included: maintaining all vessel systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, MSD, Main/Aux Engines, generators, and other vessel equipment). Watch Standing duties including using all navigation equipment and maneuvering of vessel. Vessel is powered by two 12V71TA Detroit Diesels with Tonaco reduction gears, and two 6BT series Cummins Diesels with Lima 95kw Generator ends.

Ma’aleah Harbor, Hawaii (Maui) November 2003-April 2004

Port Engineer for companies 6 charter vessels.

Duties included: Maintaining fleet of 6 vessels. Responsible for producing maintenance schedules, fleet management, diesel engine overhauls and diagnostics, along with marine system troubleshooting, aluminum and fiberglass repair and shipyard management. Five of the six vessels are equipped with Cummins main engines (series K, N, C and B). One vessel is powered by Volvo Penta TAM102D main engines. Vessels utilized Twin Disc and ZF reduction gears. Two of the vessels are equipped with Lugger/Northern Light Generators.

Seattle, Washington April 2005 to April 2006

Chief Engineer on three of the companies 8 Small Cruise Ships.

Duties include: maintaining and troubleshooting all systems on board the vessels which ranged in size from 140-198’ in length. Two vessels equipped with Caterpillar 33,34and 35 series engines. The other is equipped with Detroit 12v71 main engines and 6v71 aux engines. Vessels utilized Twin Disc and Caterpillar reduction gears.

Seattle, Washington April 2006 to August 07

Port Engineer for 2 of the companies 8 small passenger vessels.

Duties include: Repair and maintenance oversight during in season operation, in season and annual shipyard management, interior upgrade and maintenance budgeting, writing bid specifications, emergency repair management, AMOS administrator, Vessel crew scheduling, USCG- COI and ABS inspections, ADEC (Alaska Dept of Environmental Conservation) seasonal inspections and testing of gray & black water quality to meet compliance regulations, and design and installation oversight for new vessel systems.



Fluent in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and Outlook. AMOS user and administrator trained.
