As Deputy Manager - Propulsion Generation & Systems, Technical Services (Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam):



Spearheaded a team of 200 skilled civilian personnel in a repair yard with sophisticated technical capabilities, 3 major dry-docks, 100 work centres, berthing capability of 50 warships and 7000 thousand employees.



Planned and executed overhaul / installation of 25 different types of marine Diesel Engines and their auxiliary systems (Main Propulsion/ Power Generation) onboard Indian Naval Ships.



Managed operations/logistics requiremets of multiple team work centre (10 work centres), shop floor control and ensured quick turnaround of ships round the clock.



Ensured provisioning of material handling like mobile HP(400bar) and LP Air Compressors(200bar), Mobile Cranes(10 Tonnes to 40 Tonnes capacity), Air Conditioning Equipment(40 TR to 80 TR capacity), Mobile Generators(125 KW to 1000 KW), Steam (Up to 10bar), De-mineralised (30 tonnes per hour capacity plant) and Sea Water Services (450 tonnes per hour) for Indian Naval Ships , Submarines and various work centres in the shipyard.



Maintenance of material handling equipment and technical services like sea water, Demineralised water and steam services extending up to 10000 meters through annual maintenance and rate contracts.



Accomplished project activities in time consistently meeting the challenging uncertainties and targets.



As Assistant Technical Officer/ Chief Engineer - Indian Naval Ship Ranvijay & Kozhikode:



Managed a team of 40 technically qualified personnel for operation & maintenance of Warship Propulsion, Power Generation, Air Conditioning & Ventilation and Refrigeration systems to meet mission critical assignments.



Executed refit detailing of Ship & Initiated the project as per charter till work package level involving long term planning for ensuring availability of critical engineering spares requiring long lead time for procurement as Chief Engineer Officer.



Significant Highlights:



Instrumental in procuring critical spares including vendor support and reverse engineering that required import 2010.



Planned and executed major repairs/ upgradation of Boilers, DM Water Plants, Sea Water and Steam Services at Naval Dockyard 2009.



Facilitator of Quality circle team that represented Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam in Vizag Chapter and the National Chapter Convention 2008.



Successfully implemented ISO 9001:2001& ISO 14001:2004 for Integrated Management System at divisional level at Naval Dockyard 2007.
