Marine Engineering Supervisor

Objective


I am looking for a supervisory position for the troubleshooting, installation and repair of marine equipment either on board a vessel or in a port environment. I am willing to relocate.


Experience


SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

With 15 years of experience on various systems in many types of environments, to include a total of 4.5 years of supervisor experience. Performed administrative duties in an office environment using windows operating systems and Office applications for data entry. The remainder of my experience is hands-on with troubleshooting and repair of electrical, A/C, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic with a comprehensive understanding of all tools to perform my duties as assigned.

Marine Maintenance Supervisor 1998-Sept 1999 U.S. Army Ft. Eustis, VA

Performed the periodic maintenance and safety inspections aboard Army watercraft. Composed status reports for twenty-one vessels to brief higher commands of operational status of each vessel. Ensured all OSHA regulations were being met on all vessels. Designed and programmed the 10th Transportation Battalion homepage. Supervised & Rebuilt NTA 855/KTA 50 Cummins, 71 Series Detroit Diesel, Atlas Imperial and EMD diesel engines to include the subsystems of hydraulic starters, water pumps, turbochargers and hydraulic accumulators. Performed troubleshooting procedures to detect malfunctions of engines and subsystems. Designated as the Production and Quality Control Inspector. Instructed periodic classes for personnel to improve proficiency of workmanship within the shop.



Marine Engineman 1992 - 1995 U.S. Army Ft. Eustis, VA

Performed troubleshooting and preventive maintenance procedures on electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and refrigeration equipment aboard various Army vessels. Performed engineroom watch while vessel was underway earning 3yrs of consecutive sea service. Deployed to Somalia for Operation Restore Hope as a marine engineman. Deployed to Haiti for Operation Uphold Democracy as Senior Marine Engineer.
