Junior Engineer
• Make sure that the main engines and associated machinery, electrical, refrigeration, air conditioning and cargo-handling equipment on ships are operating efficiently.
• Operation, maintenance and been a part of team in repair of main engine (main propulsion). 2 stroke Mitsubishi sulzer 7RTA62 engine
• Been a part of 4 stroke Daihatsu generator engine full Decarb.
• Overhauling of exhaust gas turbo charger, measure axial and radial clearance, draw out of piston and measure wear down of piston ring/groove, cylinder liner, overhauling of fuel oil pump, calibrated fuel oil valve for proper pressure and atomization.
• Knowledge in boilers to supply and maintain steam pressure, heating for fuel oil, and heater in vessel accommodation
• Monitor automatic data recording equipment, and record readings manually on ships without such equipment.
• Analyze the readings to make adjustments to machinery operation as required.
• Carry out regular maintenance of the main engine and repair defective auxiliary equipment.
• Stand watches in the engine room at sea and in port.
• Make sure that the operations of the vessel do not create pollution.
• Maintain engine room stores and record usage of parts and equipment.
• Supervise major maintenance work while the ship is in port be involved with the operation of small craft such as patrol boats, tugs, river ferries and port authority vessels.
