Marine engineer, electrical engineer

Objective


I'm looking for a new possitionas ship electrical/electronic engineer that wil provide an innovating challenge. I would like to advanced my existing expirience further by using skils peviously learned in simmilar role, however being exposed to a different enviroment and resposabilities.


Experience


Sep 1997 to May 1998 M/V ‘Pacific Frigo’, Mediteranska Plovidba Co.

Apprentice Electronic Engineer

I began my career as an apprentice working for a Croatian company. This experience enabled me to use my qualification the first time as a cadet under supervision of a senior electronic engineer. My responsibilities was to maintain the lighting on the whole ship, maintain the generators and electrical motors.

In this position I was able to gain knowledge of the ship’s electrical/electronic, reefer and cargo handling systems.



Nov 1999 to June 2002 M/V ‘Mediteran Frigo’, Mediteranska Plovidba Company

Senior Electronic Engineer

This was my first ship as a senior electronic engineer. In this position my responsibility was to maintain and repair all electrical systems on the vessel: the main engine room computer, reefer plant computer, alarm and measuring systems, fire alarm system, navigation system and deck cranes. I maintained stock levels and ordered supplies needed. I also organized and supervised dry dock electrical jobs. In addition to this, I was a member of the management and quality control board. Another role of mine was to provide mentorship for cadets.



Oct 2002 to may 2003 M/V ‘Dalmacija Frigo’, Mediteranska Plovidba Company

Senior Electronic Engineer

My duties and responsibilities were the same as the sister ship; ‘Mediteran Frigo’. In addition, I had the privilege of delivering the ship to another company, translating all engine logs-administration into English.

The systems on board both the above ships were AEG Geadet System.



Nov 2003 to May 2005 M/V ‘Lady Racisce’ , Korkyra Shipping Ltd.

Senior Electronic Engineer

I transferred to this company to advance my career in the shipping industry. This two year old ship allowed me to improve my skills in modern technology. My duties were similar as previous, except I was responsible for reefer containers and the control atmosphere system. The automation system in the engine room was Kröneberg NOR Control 8000 system, reefer plant system was made by Sabroe. Also, I became a member of ship’s security board.



July 2005 to December 2005. M/B ‘Saga Rose’ Saga Shipping Ltd

Ship Service Engineer

My last service was as Ship Service Engineer on a passenger cruise ship. This was a temporary position whereby I was responsible to the technical department, but worked directly with the hotel and deck department.

My responsibilities were varied and included the following: technical maintenance for hotel; plumbing, refurbishment, escalators, galley and laundry equipment. For the deck department: mooring, anchoring and cargo handling equipment. In general, I was responsible for the safety systems throughout the vessel; Marioff sprinkler system, lifeboats, tender boats, polar circle boats, ship’s hull and superstructure. I maintained the ship’s overall interior and exterior appearance. Under my supervision, I had deck repairmen, plumbers and carpenters.

On a daily basis, I reported directly to the Chief Engineer and carried a twenty-four pager-bleep.

New building supervising DCV 18500 DWT

At present I’m employed as member of supervising team by Korkyra Shipping Ltd. to supervise the new building 000225 in shipyard

“PT PAL” Surabaya, Indonesia.

My duties as owner surveyor is to ensure that all electrical machinery, power plant and installation, navigational equipment, communication equipment and safety system are installed and mounted in accordance with all existing standards, MARPOL and SOLAS regulation, and good shipbuilding practice. Also testing of all above mentioned equipment and sea trial.

General electrotechnic high school of Vela Luka.

Mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, English language, history, geography, social science (sociology), psychology, art and photography. Sports activities: water polo, rowing, hand ball and underwater fishing



University Education 1993 to 1997



Maritime University of Dubrovnik graduated in July 1997 at Ship electro energetic and electronics. Sports activities: active competitor at underwater fishing
