Implemented original, innovative methods which reduced manpower and increased overall efficiency of several repetitive tasks onboard.

Promoted to First Engineer in June 1999.

Daily responsibilities included maintaining all aspects of the two 4000 HP MAK main propulsion engines and auxiliary support machinery while underway.

Duties included ordering needed supplies and parts, adhering to multiple maintenance schedules, writing repair reports, coordinating re-supply/repair requests with office, and assisting chief engineer with troubleshooting.
