• To obtain an engineering job where skills obtained throughout my education can be applied to help in the workspace. Also to develop other useful skills in the areas of teamwork, communication, and being able to understand different viewpoints to help solve a common objective.

• Cross Sound Ferry June 2014 - Present
o Third Assistant Engineer. Performed the duties of plant watch-standing and daily maintenance. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of auxiliary and propulsion plant of the vessel. • A. Smith Engineering July 2010- Present
o Duties: Part time weekends/ summer to assist engineer with residential and commercial building inspections. Take measurement of interior and exterior of residential and commercial buildings for architect drawings for permits and variance applications. Summer Sea Terms
o Successfully complete two 45 day and the 90 day senior summer sea terms on the Training Ship Empire State VI. Performed the duties of a plant watch-standing and day-working maintenance. As a watch stander, I was responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant during two four-hour watches. Duties included operation of boilers, pumps, motors and refrigeration equipment. As a worker, I performed maintenance and repair of all machinery and related equipment to the plant.
• Freshman Engineering Training Instructor
o In charge of teaching freshman engineers the basic engineering knowledge to prepare them for their first summer sea term, which includes tracing sessions, watch standing, ship familiarization, and basic engineering concepts.

• Work Rate
o Given responsibility and leadership role as a Division Officer rate on senior summer sea term.
o Division Officer- Was in charge of all of the students in one of the divisions on the ship. Had to make work bills and watch bills for the division.
