Objective
Project management, service Engineer, working in a ship yard or traveling to the job site. I have been crew onboard ship for over 20 years and I am looking to be land based here in Seattle WA.
Experience
I started off as an apprentice Toolmaker, then of to the Royal Navy as a Mechanical Engineer, half way through my career I retrained as an Electrician. I have a broad range of both Mechanical and Electrical skills.
After the Navy I worked in the Private Yachting Industry as crew. I took charge of several yard maintenance periods. Paint job, surveys, major engineering yard work and upgrades.
Education
As part of my Toolmaking apprenticeship I did day release for 4 years gaining UK City & Guilds vocational qualifications.
During my military Naval career, i did continuation and promotional training in school, which totaled 18 months of training.
During my yachting career I continued my drive to gain as rapid advancement as possible, choosing to do all the MCA Engineering training modules and oral examinations.
