Marine Engineer

Objective


I’m looking for a challenging position of the Naval Architect / Marine Engineer in the reputed classification society like yours with a view to use my wide experience for the benefit of the society and to gain more expertise of the structural requirements of the ship.


Experience


I possess Bachelor of Engineering (Honors Degree) in Marine from University of Mumbai, India. I have been a part of marine sector from past 6 years and have 2+ years of sailing experience on-board ship and from April’12 I’m working with Larsen & Toubro - Integrated Engineering Services (L&T - IES) as Naval Architect. Previously I was working as marine engineer onboard ships before coming onshore.



As a marine engineer I am experienced in designing, development, maintenance and repair of the machinery, propulsion and power supply systems of a ship. After coming onshore I’ve have hand on experience on the Common Structural Rules Stage 1 software (CSR, American Bureau of Shipping & Lloyd's Register) and also Harmonized Common Structural Rules Stage 1 Software (CSR-H, American Bureau of Shipping & Lloyd's Register), which are used for assessment of the structural requirements of the ship.I’m also experienced in manual calculations of the requirements in Common Structural Rules Code Book including Section Modulus, Load Calculations. In CSR-H software which is underconstruction, I was part of the testing team that tests and analyze any defect that is obtained in the software.



I always prioritize and organize my work. I have excellent time management skills with ability to work accurately and quickly, whilst simultaneously managing the diverse range of functions. ? Class IV (Motor) certificate of competency (COC), Mercantile Marine Department, India

? Passed S.S.C. in the year 2001 with 68.00% from Maharashtra State Board.

? Passed H.S.C. in the year 2003 with 67.17% from Maharashtra State Board.

? Passed B.E. Marine Engineering in the year 2007 with 66.58% (First Class) from Mumbai University.

Including three semester study of “Naval Architecture & Ship Construction” and covering topics such as Ship Design, Ship Form Calculations, Flotation and Stability, Resistance, Propulsion, Maneuvering and Hull Strength.
