1981-1984 Grasso Marine Services-Galveston Tx. Position: Licensed Pushboat Captain (inland only).

1984-1986 Freeport Mooring and Marine-Freeport Texas. Position: Licensed Pushboat Captain.

1986-1989 Coastwise Trading Co. (subsidiary of Amoco Oil Company)-Texas City,Tx. Position: AB Tankerman on Intergrated Tug/Barge Units transporting parazylene from Texas city to Charleston, SC. and gasoline/heating oil from Texas City to Tampa,FL & Savannah,GA.

1989-2012 G&H Towing Co. Position: Chief Engineer Limited Oceans/any horsepower. Harbor ship assist/offshore towing of dead ships,drilling rigs and offshore barges.

2006-present Recanna Solutions-Galveston Tx. Position: Part-time and now Full-time Contract Chief Engineer on State of Texas Ferrys opperating between Galveston and Bolivar Tx.

1974-1977 Cape Fear Technical Institute-Wilmington,NC. Studies: Marine Technology,Marine Biology,Oceanography,Drafting,Marine Diesels,Electricity&electronics,Navigation,Welding-Ship Experience&Repair, a one week offshore cruise every quarter and general required college courses.

As Chief Engineer my duties have been to safely operate and maintain vessel machinery, oversee transfers of fuels, lubes,bilge and sewage waters, routinely order machine parts and engine room supplys,repair machinery and equipment within onboard capabilities, propfessionally keep all logs and records up-dated and in proper order, as well as maintain a good working relationship with shoreside engineering departments and various vendors, as well as work closely with wheelhouse and deck crews.

I have over the years attended many workshops and seminars enabling me to stay updated to the latest safety and engineering trends.
