Objective
Need to complete necessary sea-time for my marine engineering diploma. Currently under-going training at the Fiji Government Shipping Service.
Experience
1. Began serving my Marine Engineering apprenticeship in November 2009 to current date. Worked on the following vessels to date;
• R.V.Tovuto – Assisted Ships Engineers doing port generator watch-keeping, routine maintenance and repairs
• M.L.C.Vatulawa – Assisted Ships Engineers during overhauling of main propulsion diesel engines
• M.V.Tabu Soro – Assisted Ships Engineers doing maintenance work on ships generators.
• M.V.Tug No.7 – Assisted Chief Engineer during changing of main engine fuel filters and inspection of gearbox.
• Outboard Engine Work-Shop – Assisted Outboard Engine Technician in overhauling outboard engines.
• M.V.Dausoko – Served on M.V.Dausoko for 3 days as relieving Cadet assisting in engine-room watch-keeping on a trip from Suva – Matuku Island – Suva.
• M.V Iloilovatu – Served on M.V Iloilovatu for 3 months as cadet assisting in watch-keeping duties on interinsular and Rotuma voyages.
• M.V Tug No.7 – Served onboard as cadet assisting in maintenance work on dry dock.
• M.V. Iloilovatu – Currently serving onboard as cadet assisting in watch-keeping duties on interinsular and Rotuma voyages.
2. Also worked as an Assistant to Ship’s Engineers on the M.T.Sara Theresa whilst anchored at TOTAL Terminal for Cargo Operations and alongside in Suva Port assisting in bunkering operations, loading ships stores, taking generator watch in port and assisting in routine maintenance on machineries in the engine-room.
