? Main Propulsion Plant System having a power rating of at least 32000 BHP, including:

• Gas Turbine propulsion (32000HP) with gearing, shafting and propellers.

• Internal Combustion engine propulsion (12000BHP) with gearing, shafting and fixed/controlled pitch propellers.(STX MAN B&W, Sulzer)



? Power Generator & Alternators

• Supervising the Operation and Maintenance of various types of generators; including Turbo Alternators, Gas Turbine Generators and Diesel Alternators having rating from 100 KW to 1250KW.(Kirloskar, STX MAN B&W, Sulzer, Daihatsu, Cummins,)

• Adopting proper planning and execution of maintenance principles i.e. Planned Preventive Maintenance, Condition Based Predictive Maintenance etc.



? Refrigeration and AC Plants

• Applying expertise in the Operation, Repair and Maintenance of Refrigeration and AC Plants (package/central) of Indian. European and Russian origin(York, Voltas, Russian, Kirloskar etc.).



? Auxiliaries

• Proficient in maintenance and operation of system with related auxiliaries and other equipments such as HP Air compressors, motor / turbo driven Pumps(reciprocating, centrifugal lobe, gear, etc.), hydraulics, Steering Gear Machinery, Cranes, Winches, Davits, Derricks, Boilers, Distilling Plants, Centrifugal separator etc.


 


• Artificers IVth class and above possessing Unit Watch Keeping Certificate are skilled Engine Room Artificer.

• At par with Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Indian Polytechnic.

• 04 years Diploma with 10 years of service and professional experience in Indian Navy as Artificer is equivalent to “A Degree in Engineering with 2 years of experience” in the appropriate field from a recognised university of India.

• Engine Room Artificer class III and above may be examined for certificate of competency under the same condition as engineers in the Mercantile Marine Department. The Indian Navy being recognised as equivalent in the Mercantile Marine Department by the ministry of transport.
